Active since 2019, Jonathan F. Kugel – Cabinet de Curiosités Contemporain is an art space in Brussels that reinterprets the historical cabinet of curiosities through a contemporary perspective. Located in a nineteenth-century neo-Flemish house, it brings contemporary artworks into dialogue with objects and references from the past, creating unexpected connections between periods.

Its programme emphasises craftsmanship, artisanal techniques and media including ceramics, glass and painting. The artists presented often explore the relationship between tradition and innovation while engaging with art history.

The gallery functions as a place of experimentation and discovery. Works are presented without a strict hierarchy, following the spirit of historical cabinets of curiosities. Its approach offers an aesthetic and intellectual experience based on observation, surprise and dialogue between objects.
