Established in autumn 2022 in Galgeberg, Oslo, SKOG is an art space that prioritises material-based practices and newly established artists. Its programme aims to contribute to Oslo’s artistic scene through a lively and unconventional venue in the city’s East End.
The space gives particular attention to access to exhibition opportunities for artists at the beginning of their careers. This commitment shapes both its exhibition and residency programmes.
SKOG also encourages exchange between newer and more experienced artists across generations and professional disciplines. Through networks and exhibitions, it creates opportunities for shared knowledge, often presenting a newly established artist alongside a more experienced practitioner.
